NEUTRON YIELD FOR THE REACTION BETWEEN TRITONS AND FLUORINE AND ALUMINUM NUCLEI (in Russian)

The neutron yield from the F/sup 19/(t,n) and Al/sup 27/ (t,n) reactions was studied for triton energies up to 2.4 Mev. The dependence of the differential cross section for neutron emission at an angle of O/sup o/ on the triton energy is derived. The position of a set of excited levels in the intermediate nucleus Ne/sup 22/ could be determined on the basis of the resonance course of the differential cross section for the F(t,n) reaction. The symmetry of the neutron angular distribution in the cms relative to 90 deg at five triton energies indicates that up to 2.1 Mev the F/sup l9/(t,n) reaction proceeds mainly via the formation of an intermediate nucleus. The total cross sections of the F/ sup l9/ (t,n) reaction were determined for a number of energies. (auth)
