The process of electromagnetic excitation of nuclei by muons (nonradiative excitation) during a 2p-ls transition in the mesic atom is considered. The ratib of the probability of emission of a gamma quantum by a muon to the probability of nonradiative excitation with subsequent decay of the nucleus via various chanels is calculated. (auth)
