FURTHER ANALYSIS OF GAMMA RAY ATTENUATION IN TWO-LEGGED RECTANGULAR DUCTS

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4836046
The gamma and neutron shielding properties of shelters are considered. The use of the albedo approach for the analytical prediction of attenuation characteristics of twoLegged ( L''-shaped) rectangular ducts transmitting gamma rays is extended to cases involving asymmetricai locations of source and/or detector. Illustrative problems are presented and solved. (auth)
