A RADIOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF FATTY ACIDS ON PAPER CHROMATOGRAMS (in German)

For the quantitative analysis of paper chromatographically separated mixtures of the higher fatty acids, the fatty acid salts were formed on the paper with Co/sup 60/(CH/sub 3/COO)/sub 2/ solutions. In this manner it is possible with the help of comparison chromatograms, developed and radiometrically evaluated in the same manner as the analysis chromatograms, to determine accurately to within plus or minus 2.5% the myristic, lauric, palmitic, and stearic acids contained in the mixture.
