Studies of chemical reactions of magnesium borides with air, nitrogen, and oxygen at high temperature showed that MgB/sub 12/ has the highest resistance to air oxidation, The data also showed that MgB/sub 6/ and MgB/sub 12/ do not react with nitrogen and are inert to hydrogen. (R.V.J.)
