ON THE EVOLUTIONALITY CONDITIONS OF STATIONARY FLOWS (in Russian)

Application of the evolutionality conditions to flows in nozzles and to transonic flows permits one to conclude that a continuous transition from subsonic to supersonic velocity is accompanied by the formation of shock waves. Application of the evolutionality conditions to an oblique shock wave attached to a wedge indicates that the flow behind the shock wave is subsonic. The evolutionality conditions are also applied to exothermal and endothermal discontinuities. (auth)
