INFRARED SPECTROSCOPIC STUDY OF ISOTOPIC EXCHANGE WITH SURFACE HYDROXYLS OF CHEMICALLY MODIFIED SILICAS (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Kolloid. Zhur.
OSTI ID:4833720
Exchange of surface OH groups for OD in unmodified aerosil and aerosil containing trimethylsilyl groups on the surface was investigated with the aid of infrared spectroscopy. The trimethylsilyl groups of modified aerosil specimens perturb the hydroxyl groups remaining on the surface, which prevents the reaction of part of these groups with D2O molecules. (auth)
