THE LINEAR K$pi$ INTERACTION AND THE RELATIVE $Sigma$-/cap lamba/ PARITY

Journal Article · · Nuovo Cimento (Italy) Divided into Nuovo Cimento A and Nuovo Cimento B
OSTI ID:4833551
A phenomenological explanation of the marked forward peaking of K/sup 0/ in the process pi /sup -/ + p yields K/sup 0/i + LAMBDA is present ed. It is shown that the peaking can be answered under the hypothesis that the relative E-A parity is odd. From this discussion there is hope of reconciling the long- standing features of the phenomenological linear EPSILON - LAMBDA interaction with both CP invariance and with the observed difference between EPSILON and LAMBDA production at moderate energies, under the hypothesis of odd relative EPSILON - LAMBDA parity.
