PROBLEMS OF NUCLEAR PHYSICS AND SOME LARGER APPARATUS OF THE INSTITUTE OF NUCLEAR RESEARCH (in Czech)

Journal Article · · Jaderna energie
OSTI ID:4832934
Studies of nuclear reactions (reaction mechanism, the construction of a fission product magnetic analyzer, p- gamma correlation measurement, nuclear polarization, and oriented nuclei measurement) are summarized. Research equipment, such as the cyclotron which accelerates deuterium ions to 13 Mev or alpha particles to 26 Mev and a small electrostatic accelerator of 1 Mev which affords the experience needed for the construction of the 4 to 5 Mev accelerator, is described. A brief outline is also given of the low temperature laboratory equipment (hydrogen and helium liquefier of GS-2 type and nitrogen liquefier of ZAK-80 type). (N.W.R.)
