RESONANCE SUPERHIGH-FREQUENCY PROBE METHOD FOR MEASURING CHARGE CONCENTRATIONS IN PLASMA (in Russian)

A new Buperhigh-frequency problng method capable of testing local charge concentrations is achieved by submerging in plasma a miniature oscillating system resembling a foreshortened section of double-conducting line charged through a special Buperhigh-frequency track. The shifts in the resonance frequency determine electron concentrations. The correlation of data on electron concentration in stationary plasma tested by superhigh-frequency probing coincides with the data obtained by ordinary probe within 5%. Applications of the superhigh-frequency method were made in nonstable and stable plasma in the presence of magnetic field. (R.V.J.)
