Prompt Neutron Life Time in Reflected Thermal Reactor (in Japanese)

A method is developed for calculating prompt neutron lifetimes in a thermal reactor with a reflector. Neutron life in a D2O moderated sphericah reactor with a D2O reflector is cajculated. Reflector materiahs niust have how thermal neutron absorption cross section, in condparison with core materials, so that resident time of neutron in re flector is usually longer. Therefore, prompt neutron lifetime is expected to be strongly affected by neutrons which are produced by fisslon in core, spend time in reflector, and are absorbed in core. To evaluate contributions of such neutrons to prompt neutron lifetime, the two group albedo theory is used.
