SEPARATION AND DETERMINATION OF SMALL CONCENTRATIONS OF STRONTIUM OR OF STRONTIUM AND BARIUM TOGETHER IN CALCIUM (in German)

A method is described for the quantitative separation of low Sr concentrations (up to 1 mg) as the sulfate from calcium. The method depends on the removal of the alkaline earth metals from their complexes with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid with the use of cobalt ions. On the same principle, a method for the quantitative mutual separation of Sr and Ba (up to 1 mg) from Ca was perfected. In both cases the isolated sulfates were determined polarographically.
