BURNOUT LIMIT CURVES FOR BOILING WATER REACTORS
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4830516
Burnout limit curves are recommended for the design of boiling water reactors. The recommended curves cover the following range of conditions: pressure at 600 to 1450 psia. a flow rate of 0.4 to 6.0 x 10/sup 6/ lb/hr-ft/, steam subcooled to 45% by weight, hydraulic diameter from 0.245 to 1.25 in., and a heated length of 29 to 108 in, The basis for the burnout limit curves is discussed and their application to available data is presented.
