OPERATION OF FISSION CHAMBERS AT 350C

The results of testing fission chambers at an ambient temperature of 350 deg C are presented. It is shown that fission chambers can be satisfactorily operated at such temperatures with only a minor loss of sensitivity. In addition the chamber noise level was not observed to increase significantly for the chambers tested. (auth)
