THE CORROSION BEHAVIOR OF THE NICKELCHROMIUM INCONEL AND OF NIOBIUM ALLOYS IN A PRESSURIZED WATER REACTOR. PART I (in French)
Corrosion tests on Inconel were made in two simulated reactor waters (primary and secondary). The exposure to primary water took place under static conditions at 150, 288, 360 deg C, as well as under dynamic conditions at 288 and 343 deg C in a loop under high flow conditions. Alloys of different compositions were used and were exposed to various thermal treatments. Some samples were stressed. some contained welds, and some were associated to form galvanic couples. For the niobium alloys the tests were made in static water at 315 and 360 deg C and in water vapor at 400 deg C under 100 atm. The composition of the alloys, the test conditions, and the experimental results are given in tabular form. In this first section only the studies on Inconel are reported. (tr-auth)
