THE INCREASE OF F-CENTER FORMATION BY X-IRRADIATION OF KCl CRYSTALS WITH Ca- ION DOPING (in German)

It is shown that the variation with time of radioinduced F-center formation at room temperature in Ca-doped KCl crystals can be represented by an analytical expression. This agreed in form with an expression found earlier for pure crystals, and led to the assumption of a further supplementary constituent of anion vacancies, in addition to the two kinds of anion vacancies effective in pure crystals, whose concentration was determined by the Ca ion content, and te one with formation rate of new vacancies during x-irradiation increased by the Ca ion content.
