In connection with investigations of lattice disturbance in LiF by reactor irradiation, the concentration of color centers after neutron bombardment was determined. Essentially F and M centers were observed. At the same time the changes in the lattice constants of the LiF crystal was measured. The dependence of the change of lattice constants on the color center concentration and on the anion vacancies formed by neutron bombardment is shown. (M.C.G.)
