Thorotrast was injected into rabbits intravenously. The liver and spleen were studied by x rays and electron microscopy 15 min to 30 days after the injection. The grains of Th were recognized in the hepatic cells and even in the Golgi organs by means of the electron microscope. The Th, once deposited in those organs, remained without any changes for a long time, and was seen by x rays. (Abstr. Japan Med., 2: No. 5, May 1962).
