ELECTRON PHOTODETACHMENT FROM IONS AND ELASTIC COLLISION CROSS SECTIONS FOR O, C, Cl, AND F

Photodetachment cross sections for O/sup -/, C/sup -/, Cl/sup -/, and F/ sup -/ have been computed in the energy range from threshold to 50 ev by the Klein-Brueckner method. Elastic cross sections for electron scattering from O, C, Cl, and F in the energy range 0 to 15 ev have also been computed. The method of calculation is described and the results compared with earlier theoretical and experimental work. (auth)
