SPECTROCHEMICAL DETERMINATION OF RARE EARTH ELEMENTS AT HANFORD

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4827718
Two general spectrochemical methods used at Hanford for the determination of rare earth elements in non-rare earth matrices are descrlbed. Two other specific applications of rare earth analysis are also presented. One is the determination of neodymium in praseodymium and of praseodymium in neodymium using d-c arc excitation good to plus or minus 10%. The other is the determination of cerium and neodymium using copper spark excitation good to plus or minus 7%. (auth)
