AUTOMATIC RADIOMETRIC TITRATION

Journal Article · · Acta Chem. Acad. Sci. Hung.

A simple apparatus constructed for automatic radiometric titration is described. The measuring solution is added continuously in equal quantitics. Thc dependence of the activity in the solution above the precipitate is determined as a function of time; this dependence is registered automatically. A definite amount of test solution corresponds to a definite time interval. During the titration, the measured solution circulates through the titration flask, through the G-M counters and back into the flask. The circulation is kept up by a micro-pump. The automatic apparatus excludes subjective errors, increases the precision, and decreases the titration time. One determination takes about 5-8 min. The titration of Cl ions with Ag/sup 110/ ions is used as an example. (auth)
