THE APPARENT SIDEREAL AND ANTI-SIDE-REAL DAILY VARIATIONS OF COSMIC RAY INTENSITY

Journal Article · · Nuovo Cimento (Italy) Divided into Nuovo Cimento A and Nuovo Cimento B

A theoretical treatment is outlined of the annual apparent sidereal daily variation and the anti-sidereal daily variation associated with the following phenomena: an annual linear displacement of phase of a solar daily variation; an annual linear displacement of phase of a sidereal daily variation; an annual linear change of amplitude of a solar daily variation; combined linear changes of phase and amplitude of a solar daily variation; an annual linear change of amplitude of a sidereal daily variation; a seasonal varration of amplitude of a solar daily variation; a seasonal variation of amplitude of a sidereal daily variation; a seasonal variation of phase of a solar daily variation; a seasonal variation of phase of a sidereal darly variation; and curvature associated with the 11-year cycle of intensity variation. The theory is supplemented by analyses of facsimile daily variations, suitably modulated. (auth)
