POLARIZATION IN SOME (d,n) AND (d,p) REACTIONS. PRINCIPLE OF RING POLARIMETER

The polarizations of neutrons from reactions D(d,n)He/sup 3/ and T(d,n)He/sup 4/, and of the protons from reactions Be/sup 9/ (d,p)Be/sup 10/ and Li/sup 6/(d,p)Li/sup 7/, are measured as functions of the n and p emission angles and the d energies from 0.2 to 1.8 Mev. In addition, a ring polarimeter for measuring nucleon polarizations is described. (T.F.H.)
