The design principles and uses of this 6-Bev electron synchrotron are described. A schematic diagram is presented. The alternating-gradient, injector (25 Mev preaccelerator), radio-frequency system, vacuum system, and the magnet design are discussed. The laboratory equipment arrangements and types are described.
