A nuclear analysis of possible runaway in ZPT and LPT reactors is presented. Particular attention is directed to the effects of vaporized fuel element redistribution on reactivity, amount of energy released by reactor implosioninitiated runaway, and comparison of estimated energy release by ZPT and LPT with results of accidental ZPR-l runaway at Argonne.
