The question of the propagatlon of seismic waves in a semi-infinite elastic medium is examined where these waves are produced by a non-stationary spherically symmetric source. This problem is posed in connection with the investigation of wave processes taking place in the ground and caused by underground explosions. The study is basically oriented to the construction of theoretical oscillograms of the motion of points of the free surface of the medium. It was thus calculated that the source of the waves can be described by a function, chosen on the basis of experimental data from exploslons. (TTT)
