Neutron scintillators were made by heating and pressing a mixture of LiF, ZnS(Ag), and Lucite in a weight ratio of corrugation patterns and with or without Li/sup 6/ enrichment. Tests were carried out with the scintillators attached to photomultiplier tubes and with a slow neutron source. A plot of counting rate vs discriminator setting is given. A top efficiency of 28% was obtained for a Li/sup 6/F scintillator with a corrugation angle of 60 deg . (D.L.C.)
