ABS>A detailed description is presented of methods of shield analysis and design used by the GE-ANPD shielding group as of November 1955. Complete sets of working equations are included, together with derivations of the more important relationships. Basic assumptions and limitations of methods are discussed, as are contemplated changes and improvements under development. Tables and graphs of useful nuclear data are presented in the appendices.
