Output tracking via robust sliding mode controller

In this paper, we propose a robust sliding mode controller for tracking nonlinear systems based on a switching surface with the same order as the system. This methodology enables the closed loop system to keep its initial order and reduces chattering. An example is given to illustrate the theoretical results.
