A coaxial ducting assembly is designed with control valves for fluid flow to and from a heat exchanger. The ducting comprises an inner pipe for the hot fluid flow and an outer pipe forming an annulus between the pipes for the cool fluid flow. The inner pipe has an internal layer of heat insulating material and a butterfly valve, and an apentured annular member with associated poppet valves is provided laterally partitioning the annulus. Strengthening members are provided between the pipes in the region of the valves to prevent disturbance of the valve seating. The advantages of this ducting are that expansion bellows are not required and the outer pipe provides a safety factor should the inner pipe fracture in use. (D.L.C.)
