SOME ASPECTS OF THE NUCLEAR POWER PROGRAMME

Journal Article · · Elec. Rev.
OSTI ID:4817563
The nuclear power program of the United Kingdom is discussed with respect to future planning. One of the major planning problems is when to make the change from the magnox reactors to the advanced gas-cooled reactor. Some attention is focused on the operation and characteristics of the first six reactors of the Central Electricity Generating Board (Bradwell, Berkeley, Hinkley Point, Trawsfynydd, Dungeness, and Sizewell) and the Windscale Advanced Gas- Cooled Reactor. The economic factors also receive special attention. (N.W.R.)
