THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF LIQUID $sup 3$He-$sup 4$He MIXTURES

The existing vapor -liquid equilibrium data on He/sup 3/-He/sup 4/ mixtures are analyzed. Heat capacities of He/sup 3/- He/sup 4/ mixtures over the complete concentration range are measured using a calorimeter that can be cooled down to 0.4 deg K by means of evaporation of He/sup 3/. Some thermodynamic considerations on the properties of liquid He/sup 3/-He/sup 4/ mixtures are given. The entropy of dilute mixtures is discussed with respect to Nernst's theorem. (NPO)
