IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO PULSE AMPLITUDE DISCRIMINATING CIRCUITS

Patent ·
OSTI ID:4816331
A pulse amplitude discriminating circuit is designed which has improved stability with respect to the minimum pulse amplitude which it will accept. The circuit includes a pulse amplitude discriminator and has a stabilizing circuit comprising means for feeding in input pulses of standard amplitude, gate means for selecting the output pulses resulting from the input pulses, means for using the selected output pulses to adjust the circuit to accept pulses of the standard amplitude only, and means for inhibiting the selected output pulses from reaching the output terminal of the circult. The circuit may be used to control the top channel of a multi-channel analyzer of the amplitude-to-time conversion type and for stabilizing time intervals. (D.L.C.)
