For the vertex function in lowest order, the part of the Landau surface which is singular on the physical sheet is identified for the general case of three complex external masses. The result is extended for the seven other sheets obtained by crossing the normal (two-particle) branch cuts. Applications to production processes and reactions involving resonant or unstable states are indicated. (auth)
