A PROGRAM FOR THE ANALYSIS OF GAMMA-RAY SCINTILLATION SPECTRA USING THE METHOD OF LEAST SQUARES

A program for use on the Burroughs 205 computer at Chalk River for the unfolding of gamma scintillation spectra is described. The spectral shapes of the component lines are computed by polynomial interpolation between those of a number of pure lines. The program can find both the intensity and energy of the components. The method of least squares is used. (auth)
