Experiences of the radiation health program at the Army Nuclear Power Reactor, Fort Belvoir, Va., are presented. The radiation and exposure histories are discussed. A preventive medicine program is followed, and the specific use of the slit-lamp examination, blood studies, and wholebody counter are discussed. Statistics on the radiation exposure are presented, and comments about lesions of the lens of the eye are made. We feel that much of the hysterical attitude toward radiation can be eliminated through an adequate preventive medicine program. (auth)
