Geophysical prospecting studies for uranium minerals were made in Hirase molybdenite mine, Gifu prefecture in October l957 and March l958. In the adit level, the electrical anomalies of molybdenite veins were studied as a trial practice, and the veins were traced by the new electrical and radiometrical prospecting. The results of applied new prospecting methods were successfully finished. Electrical and radiometrical corings of two bore holes also were done. As the result, typical anomalies were detected at both holes by the spontaneous polarization method. In the surface, the expressions of anomalies of the veins were studied by the electrical prospecting methods. As the result, the typical spontaneous polarization anomaly was found in the liparite zone. Moreover, two or three small anomalies that will be caused by silicified zone were recognized. However, no anonmalies of the ore veins were found in the surface. (auth)
