THE FLUX DISTRIBUTION IN SUBCRITICAL PILES OF PLANE REGULAR SLAB GEOMETRY AND OF FINITE HEIGHT (in German)

The flux distribution of thermal neutrons in a subcritical pile of regular slab geometry and of finite height was calculated, using the Galanin- Feinberg method. An extraneous linear source of fast neutrons is present in the pile. The problem is treated by using elementary diffusion theory for the thermal flux distribution in the moderator and Fermi age theory for the slowing down of fast neutrons. The solution of the boundary value problem is obtained by applying Fourier integral transforms. (auth)
