The possibility of the use of bremsstrahlung sources with beta emitters Sr/sup 90/ + Y/sup 90/ and Kr/sup 85/ in the thickness gages is described. Energy spectra and absorption curves in lead, iron, and aluminum are given and the possibility of the choice of NaI(Tl) thickness for required thickness range is discussed. (auth)
