FALLOUT OVER U.A.R. FROM THE FOURTH FRENCH NUCLEAR TEST OVER ALGERIAN SAHARA

Data corresponding to the arrival of debris from the nuclear test over Algerian Sahara to both regions of U.A.R. are summarized. Samples of fall-out on the ground were collected daily, and preliminary investigations showed fission product contents corresponding to a deposition of 10 mc/km/sup 2/. Samples of airborne radioactive materials were collected daily at breathing air level. Thc formation and behavior of radioactive clouds on the date of the explosion is also discussed. Data are also given on internal and external doses received from full- out debris. (P.C.H.)
