MEASUREMENT OF THE DOSES ABSORBED BY THE PITUITARY IN VARIOUS RADIATION CONDITIONS (in Italian)

Using a dry skull filled and covered with a mixture of beeswax and paraffin, the authors measured the doses absorbed by the pituitary under the following irradiation conditions: x-ray therapy with radiations of HVL 0.8 mm Cu; x-ray therapy with radiations of HVL l.75 mm Cu; telecesiotherapy; telecobalt- therapy; pendular irradiation with x-rays of HVL 1.22 mm Cu; pendular irradiation with Cs/sup 137/ and Co/sup 60/. The data are reported in tables. (auth)
