PHASE DIAGRAM AND CERTAIN PROPERTIES OF Nb-Mo-W ALLOYS (in Russian)

A phase diagram was constructed for Nb-Mo-W alloy, and various properties were studied at various temperatures: the hardness at 20 and 1000 deg C, oxidation at 1200 deg C, and ductility at room temperature. An unlimited solubi1ity of the components was observed in both liquid and solid states. Solidus isotherms showed that with reduced W content the melting temperature is reduced from 3200 to 2400 deg C. Alloys with 70 to 90% Nb exhibited the lowest tendency to softening at 1000 deg C.
