THEORY OF NUCLEAR RESONANCE IN PARAMAGNETIC MEDIA (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Zhur. Eksptl'. i Teoret. Fiz.
OSTI ID:4812115
A general theory is presented of the shape and width of magnetic resonance lines in paramagnetic media. Interaction between the nuclear and electron spins in the system is due to dipole-dipole and contact forces. Precession, relaxation, and exchange motions in the electron spin system and thermal motion of the medium particles are taken into account. Formulas for the nuclear resonance line halfwldths and shifts are derived for the limiting cases of fast and slow thermal motion in the medium. (auth)
