This fourth Eco-Informa forum has been designed to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and real world applications. Enhancement of of international and exchange of global environmental technology among scientific, governmental, and commercial communities is the goal. Researchers, policy makers, and information managers presented papers that integrate scientific and technical issues with the global needs for expanded networks effective communication and responsible decision making. Special emphasis was given to environmental information management and decision support systems, including environmental computing and modeling, data banks and environmental education. In addition, fields such as waste management and remediation, sustainable food production, life-cycle analysis and auditing were also addressed.
