SCATTERING OF LOW ENERGY PROTONS ON S$sup 3$$sup 2$ (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Zhur. Eksptl'. i Teoret. Fiz.
OSTI ID:4812003
The angular distributions of protons elastically and inelastically scattered on S/sup 32/ are measured at 5.7, 5.85, 6.02, 6.20, and 6.34 Mev. The inelastic scattering (Q =--2.24 Mev) distribution curves obtained are very sensitive to the incident proton energy; this indicates that compound nucleus formation is involved. The elastic scattering angular distribution curves indicate that near 6.02 to 6.34 Mev, the compound nucleus mechanism is increasingly important. (auth)
