ABS>Formulas which correlate the contents of radioisotopcs eliminated in excreta with those retained in the body were studied. The formulas were derived on the basis of the standard man and the exponential function model in ICRP. It was assumed in the case of inhalation of insoulbe compounds, that they would behave as soluble compounds after being taken up from the lungs by body fluids. For the estimation of body burden by excretion analysis, consideration was given to chronic exposure of soluble and insoluble compounds and to single exposure of soluble and insoluble compounds. Permissible concentration in urine was calculated for several kinds of radioisotopes. In this calculation, permissible dose rates of ICRP were given as the basis of the calculation, and then body burdens corresponding to those duse rates were determined. The permissible amounts of the radiosotopes eliminate in the excreta were obtained from the body burdens by making use of the formulas derived. The resuits of the calculation are shown. (N.W.R.)
