THE Ne$sup 22$(p,$gamma$)Na$sup 23$ REACTION AND THE ENERGY LEVELS OF Na$sup 2$$sup 3$

The Ne/sup 22/(p, gamma )Na/sup 23/ reaction was studied at five resonances, at 400 to 1030 kev. Spins and parities of low-lying states were determined. Results were interpreted in terms of the unified model, which gives a fair description of the observed level scheme and measured branching ratios up to about 5 Mev excitation, using three bands with K = 1/2, 3/2 and 5/2.
