LIMITS OF PRECISION IN PHOTOGRAPHIC DOSIMETRY (in Italian)

Journal Article · · Nuntius Radiol.

Experiments were carried out in order to establish the cause and the number of the errors which may be made in photographic dosimetry, as well as to study the practical methods for reducing them as much as possible. It is concluded that such errors, which are remarkable in the film monitorfing'' sector, are of relatively little imtion on a mannequin, with figures ( plus or minus 5 to 7%) which deviate little from those obtainable by the normal ionimetric method. These results are valid, provided that some rules of technique are followed, especially concerning the method for recording the characteristic curve and the modalitftes in deveIopment of the film.
