THE EFFECTS OF REACTOR FLUX ON THE SLIDING CHARACTERISTICS OF HIGH TEMPERATURE MATERIALS

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4809033
The results indicated that integrated dosages of the order of 1.6 x 10/ sup 19/ nvt at 800 or 1200 deg F did not have any significant effects on the sliding characteristics of the materials examined. The following material pairs showed the most acceptable sliding behavior over a broad temperature rangei 56HT Graphite vs Inconel X; M2 Tool Steel vs M2 Tool Steel; Malcomized 304 Stainless Steel vs Malcomized 304 Stainless Steel; Stellite 25 vs Malcomized 304 Stainless Steel.
