A direct determination was made of protactinium and actinium in ur'aninites, and a radioactive equilibrium between AcU and Pa was established wrthin the aecuracy limits of thc method. The data on the Pa and Ac contents of uraninites indicate that both elements are found in radioactive equilibrium. (R.V.J.)
